The National Day long weekend was particularly sweet for me, because I have a long break till 19 August. Initially, I wanted to go for a short trip to Shanghai with my parents, but sadly, there were no flights back!
How pathetic it is to be able to fly to a destination but unable to get back?!
I got so desperate to get out of the country that I was even considering to go on a short trip alone. But I couldn’t decide on the location AND suddenly, I’ve got activities packed for a few consecutive days.
The long weekend was spent rather happily – Met up for dinner with Xin Jin, Kaiwen and Cheryl (again) on Friday. We were supposed to head to Balaclava after dinner, but a few of them didn’t feel like drinking. Oh well. =)
On Saturday, I went to the gym and then had a swim with Xin Jin (again). I was feeling rather tired and didn’t want to do anything after that. In the end, I went home and took a nap which lasted for 3 hours. Maybe it’s the sleep debt which I had to repay.
Then I met up with the 4L peeps in the evening for dinner @ Pasir Ris Park. It’s a pretty nice and cosy place, and I think the setting is quite suited for romantic dates too, less the not-so-nice ceilings (don’t look at it)!
I spent National Day out @ Punggol simply because I wanted to explore places where nice settings are available for photography. However, due to time constraints, I couldn’t make it to the beach/jetty in time and I got a little angry at myself.
Haha.. so silly, eh?
Nevertheless, I’ll make my way back there again soon. Hoho..
Today was spent catching a movie – The Hangover. It was really funny, I tell you. But some of the scenes might come across to be pretty crude (to girls). Nevertheless, it’s still a good movie which is pretty light-hearted.
Then I moved on to ION Orchard (I seem to keep returning there) before heading to City Hall to meet my ME clique for dinner @ Din Tai Fung. It was a fun gathering and thanks to Ivan who made this happen.
Alright, out for another movie tomorrow, and I think it’s time to start sleeping early!
Goodnight peeps!
*Edit: Today, Min Hui asked me what would be my next toy. I didn’t know how to answer him. It’s either I don’t know which one to buy first, or I don’t have any targets in particular. Haha.
